To sell a MacBook in Kuwait, begin with its full specification rather than just “MacBook Air” or “MacBook Pro.” Similar-looking laptops can have different chips, memory and storage. Those details help you select the correct model and avoid a quote based on a different configuration.
Find your model and request a Kwik estimate. The final offer follows device inspection, verification and your acceptance.
Write down the specification before requesting a quote
- Product family and screen size.
- Chip or processor, and model year where available.
- Memory and internal storage, recorded separately.
- Keyboard layout and the charger you plan to include.
- Known repairs, battery concerns or charging faults.
Check the Apple menu’s About This Mac information and compare it with your original invoice or box if available. Do not publish your full serial number in a public advertisement. Kwik currently lists selected MacBook models; if your exact configuration is missing, contact Kwik instead of selecting the closest-looking option.
Check more than the outside casing
Test the keyboard, trackpad, screen, speakers, camera, Wi-Fi and charging connection. Look for display marks, hinge damage and ports that work only intermittently. Note battery warnings and unusually short runtime. A clean lid does not establish that the laptop is fully functional.
Use the device condition guide to describe cosmetic wear, but tell Kwik about functional faults separately. Avoid paying for a repair solely to increase the sale price before comparing the repair cost with a quote in the current condition.
Personal Mac or a company-managed device?
If it belongs to an employer or school, obtain permission to sell it and ask the organisation to release its management or enrolment restrictions through its normal process. A factory reset alone does not establish ownership or remove every organisational restriction. Do not sell a device you are not authorised to transfer.
Back up and prepare it for the next owner
Verify that your important files are accessible in a backup or on your replacement computer before erasing the Mac. Apple’s preparation method depends on its hardware and macOS version: follow Apple’s current Mac selling instructions. Complete the required account and erasure steps yourself; never share your Apple Account password.
What if it is new or unopened?
Keep the factory packaging intact and provide the exact specification from the box. Tell Kwik about any activation or prior use. Opened-but-unused and factory-sealed are not the same condition. Accessories and proof of purchase should be described accurately; their presence does not guarantee an extra amount.
For several business laptops or mixed devices, use bulk buyback and send a model-by-model list. Confirm the final offer and payment arrangements before handover.
