A foldable phone needs a more detailed condition description than a conventional handset. When selling one in Kuwait, check both displays and the hinge rather than judging it only by the outside cover. Small differences in the inner screen’s condition can change what needs to be reviewed.
Find your model and request a Kwik estimate. The final offer follows device inspection, verification and your acceptance.
Match the full model and regional version
Write down the brand, generation, storage and regional version. A Galaxy Z Fold and a Galaxy Z Flip are different devices, as are different generations of HONOR foldables. Use the model search to find the exact entry. If it is absent, contact Kwik instead of choosing a nearby model.
Inspect both screens without forcing anything
- Check the cover screen for cracks, lines, dark areas and touch issues.
- Open the phone normally and inspect the inner screen under ordinary lighting.
- Note lifted protective film, damaged edges, dead pixels or unreliable touch.
- Describe unusual hinge movement, resistance, sound or failure to open as expected.
Do not force the hinge, peel off a factory protective layer or try an improvised repair to improve its appearance. If something looks damaged, describe it and ask for a review. A visible crease alone and a damaged panel are not interchangeable descriptions.
Tell Kwik about repairs and symptoms
Mention any screen, hinge, frame or battery replacement and retain a repair record if you have one. Test calls, cameras, speakers, charging, wireless connections and biometric unlocking. A working outer screen does not prove that the inner screen is sound.
The grading guide covers general wear. If your phone has a display or hinge fault, do not hide it inside a cosmetic grade. Read the damaged-phone guide and request eligibility confirmation.
Compare repair cost before spending
An expensive repair does not guarantee an equally large increase in resale value. First ask whether Kwik can review the phone in its current state. Compare the quoted condition, repair scope and likely costs before deciding what to do.
Prepare accounts and data for handover
Verify a backup and transfer essential account access before resetting. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your model and remove the relevant ownership locks yourself. Our handover checklist helps organise the process. A sealed foldable should remain sealed while you confirm its model and condition. Final acceptance and value follow inspection; see the payout policy for how an adjusted offer is handled.
