Can I Sell a Cracked or Broken Phone in Kuwait? What Damage Affects the Price?

A cracked phone may still have value, but an ordinary working-device quote can be misleading. Before selling a damaged mobile in Kuwait, describe what is broken and ask whether the exact model is eligible for review.

Describe the symptom, not just “fair condition”

Light scratches, cracked glass, display lines and a touchscreen that stops responding are different problems. Write down whether the phone powers on, charges normally and can be unlocked. Mention camera, Face ID or fingerprint faults, bent frames, liquid exposure and previous repairs.

Kwik’s normal condition grades describe working devices. Do not use Fair to hide a functional fault. Contact the team with the model and fault description before arranging a trip or pickup. A model appearing in search does not guarantee acceptance of every damaged unit.

Ask for an as-is review before paying for repairs

A repair is not automatically worthwhile before resale. Compare the repair cost with a confirmed assessment of how much it might change the offer. For illustration, spending KD 40 to gain KD 20 would leave you worse off; these numbers are an example, not Kwik prices.

Tell the buyer if the screen or battery was replaced. A repair receipt can help explain the work, but it does not guarantee a fixed increase in value.

Protect the data you can still access

If the phone is usable, back up and transfer essential access before following the data-wipe checklist. If it cannot be operated, explain that before handover and discuss a safe plan. Do not share your account password or assume the next owner will remove the lock for you.

What does a missing quote mean?

No configured price means manual valuation is needed, not that the device is worth zero. Eligibility, repair needs and the final offer must be reviewed. Only agree to a sale after the inspected condition and amount are clear.
